![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think open lots automatically = depth of gameplay. Ultimately to me this is a far superior way of adding depth of gameplay to careers. Also another thing I think people fail to mention about careers in sims 3 is that the further you progress it becomes a lot more complex than just sending your sim to work with the right mood and skills! There's relationships to build, reports to write, fundraisers to hold, vaccinations to be given, late hours to be worked. Careers should only be active if it actually adds something to the career. ![]() Allowing your sim to disappear into a rabbithole makes these menial tasks far more manageable. There is no real depth of gameplay being added because going to work/school for most careers would simply involve clicking and object and selecting "do job" as you watched all your sim's co-worker's piss their pants around you. Like seriously? Restaurants were open in the sims 2 and had lots of fun and unique features!īut in general the idea of micromanaging your sims as that they sit at a desk in school or run drills as a soldier is not actually fun to the average player. There are of course a few lots in the sims 3 I don't think should be rabbit holes. People want to follow their sims to school, to work, to the grocery store, but I think the reality is you actually don't. Now this isn't a blanket statement!! But often a complaint I see about the sims 3 is how all the lots are rabbit holes.
